Caldwell High School Update - Anita Wilson, Caldwell High School Principal, provided Trustees with information on the school's accreditation. This pertains to recognition from an accrediting agency that schools maintain a certain level of educational standards. The analysis includes studies on learning environment observations, stakeholder feedback, standards self-assessment, and an executive summary. 

Positivity Project - Trustees heard from Richard Jamison, Lincoln Elementary School Principal, and Linzy Self, Lincoln Elementary School Counselor, about the Positivity Project. The Project helps schools and districts develop a common vocabulary and become self-aware, and empathetic students. The project’s resources, strategy, and support will help enable Lincoln Elementary to build a positive culture — through character and relationships.

US Bank - Cheryl Sanderson, Chief Financial Officer, provided Trustees with information about moving to US Bank. US Bank has a proven record for their financial security - Board Members voted to transfer funds from Wells Fargo to US Bank.

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) - Dawn Spurlock, Director of Special Education, briefed Trustees on what Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) are and what they provide students. This evidence-based framework provides support for all students. This program helps improve student outcomes like academic achievement, social-emotional competence, and social and academic outcomes for students with disabilities, decreases challenging behaviors, and decreases bullying behaviors.
