ANNUAL ORGANIZATION MEETING

Each year, School District Boards of Trustees hold an annual meeting as required by law to elect officers and other required business.

Elect Board Officers (Chairman and Vice-Chairman) - Trustees nominated Marisela Pesina as Chair and Trustee Travis Manning as Vice Chair.

Elect Treasurer and Clerk - Trustees nominated Manuel Godina as Treasurer and Keely Cheney as Board Clerk.

Set Time, Date, Place for Meetings - Trustees approved their regular meetings for the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. They also identified dates and times for board work sessions.

SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT

Dr. French reminded Trustees that a survey will be sent out to all families regarding the possibility of changing school start times.

Caldwell High School Update - Paul Victoriano, student representative from Caldwell High School, provided Trustees with an update on CHS Blizzard week. Stuco is planning other events such as Rock-A-Thon and Cause Week.

Canyon Springs High School Update - Abigail Aguirre, student representative from Canyon Springs High School, provided Trustees with an update on the schools winter assembly. Literacy night will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023.

PATRON INPUT

Several patrons spoke on Proposed Policy 3281, Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation. After some audience members in attendance repeatedly disrupted the meeting and refused to follow rules for patron input the meeting was unexpectedly ended and adjourned.
