Below is a summary of the Caldwell School District Board of Trustees, January 23, 2023, Board Work Session intended to provide information about board decisions in a timely manner. It is not the official record. The recorded livestream of the meeting is available here.

DMTI - Dr. Jonathan Brendefur spoke to Trustees about Developing Mathematical Thinking. The District uses DMTI in all six of its Elementary Schools. Dr. Brendefur has been working with the elementary schools for over a year. 

Jared Sliger - Mr. Sliger, 8th Grade Math Teacher at Syringa Middle School, spoke to Trustees about building a thinking classroom. 

IRI Update - Trustees heard from Melissa Langan, Chief Academic Officer, on the Districts K-5 reading proficiency. 

COVID-19 School Operation Plan for 2022-2023 - Trustees reviewed recent COVID-19 data and information.
