Special Education

Welcome to the Special Education Services for Caldwell School District. We offer a continuum of services for students from preschool through age 21 that address a variety of student and family needs and concerns. Our program goals, curriculum and materials are developmentally appropriate and focused towards meeting the individual needs of students.

The district, in cooperation with parents and nonpublic school agencies, engages in Child Find services throughout the school year. Child Find activities are conducted (1) to create public awareness of special education programs, (2) to advise the public that students who qualify for services have the right to a free appropriate public education and confidentiality protections, and (3) to alert community residents that a process exists for identifying and serving children with disabilities from the age of 3 through the semester in which they turn 21.

Parents should contact the Caldwell School District if they would like to have their child screened.

If you have specific questions, please contact the special education department in your child's school or call Sylvia Garcia (208) 455-3300.
