March 28, 2022, Special Board Meeting

Proclaim April 2-8, 2022 as The Week of the Young Child - The Board of Trustees voted to accept the proclamation of April 2-8, 2022, as The Week of the Young Child. This week focuses public attention on the needs of our youngest children and their families and recognizes early childhood programs and services.


Data Update - Melissa Langan, Chief Academic Officer, shared an iStation Update with Trustees. The presentation provided information about reading results for students in grades K-5. It also included statistics about Rates of Improvement for the District Elementary Schools.


High School Registration Update - Board Members heard from Anita Wilson, Caldwell High School Principal, about the process to register students for classes next year. Counselors have given presentations to students in grades 8 through 11 about credits, four year plans, course offerings, requirements, programs etc. Career Technical Education (CTE) teachers and other programs have visited the middle schools to promote their programs.


Curriculum and Instruction - Dr. French and Melissa Langan discussed and answered questions from Trustees on the Curriculum and Instruction being taught throughout the District. 


COVID-19 School Operation Plan for 2021-2022 - The Board of Trustees voted to approve the COVID-19 School Operation Plan for 2021-2022.
