SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT
Dr. French recognized 5th grade Lewis and Clark Elementary student Lincoln Hunt for placing 2nd in the State of Idaho for his National History Day presentation. Lincoln chose the bubonic plague, also known as the Black Death, for his history day project. For the competition, Lincoln created a poster board, wrote a paper, and delivered a presentation. Lincoln is also involved in the Advanced Learning Program at Lewis and Clark Elementary.
Dr. French also applauded Maggie Stover, Environmental Education Teacher at Syringa Middle School, who was the Idaho Environmental Secondary Educator of the Year. Ms. Stover was presented the award by the IDEEA Board during this year’s Sustainability Summit. We are so grateful for all Ms. Stover does with SMS students in environmental education.
