My wife, Ann, and I and our three children are proud to say we have lived here in Caldwell going on 15 years. All three of our children attend Caldwell Public Schools and adore their teachers. I teach high school English and Public Speaking in a neighboring district, where I have also coached wrestling and advised student media and other clubs.

We chose to raise our family in Caldwell because of the small-town feel, but with many of the large-city amenities. Ann has worked for many years on the Caldwell Bikeways and Pathways Committee. Our family regularly serves our faith community. We are strongly committed to building up the people of Caldwell, whoever they may be, and working to make sure we all do a better job of supporting our Latino brothers and sisters. We love you! And we love living in Idaho where there is an emphasis on family, faith, the outdoors, and independence.

Zone 1 map and details

I am an Idaho native and I have lived most of my life in Caldwell. I started my academic life at Lincoln Elementary School and much later earned an M.A. in Counseling from the College of Idaho. I also attended Idaho State University and graduated with a B.S. in Biology. Until I retired two years ago, I was a counselor in private practice. Also, my daughter is a graduate of Caldwell High School, and her many years of education here has served her well.

I love Idaho and it is the home of my heart. Idaho is the place my parents raised me to respect others and the environment and to strive to do my best in all endeavors. Serving on the Caldwell School Board is an honor. Children deserve a quality education and the opportunities to grow as individuals. They deserve to be safe, physically, emotionally, and mentally. It is our duty on the board to provide such an environment.

I was born and raised here in Caldwell, and I am honored to serve as a School Board Trustee. My roots run deep in public education and the Caldwell School District as the son of two retired, long-time educators. I've seen the positive effects firsthand of what a great education and great educators can do for students and the community.

Professionally, I work with elected officials across Idaho as a Consulting Appraiser with the Idaho State Tax Commission, where I track compliance with state statutes as well as provide technical support, training, and general appraisal support for Assessor's Offices.

My wife, Jessica, and I chose to move back to Caldwell a few years ago because we love this community and are proud that our daughter is going through Caldwell Schools. As your Trustee, I'm committed to making sound, rational, and fiscally responsible decisions that benefit the students in Caldwell Schools and prepare them to take on the modern world.

I've lived in Canyon County all my life and the last 26 years have made Caldwell my home. Growing up I worked many years in agriculture and benefited by gaining a strong work ethic. Currently, I am an employee at Norco where I assist customers with their home medical needs. I have been married for 21 amazing years to my wife Liz; together we have three beautiful daughters. My two older daughters started and ended their education in Caldwell; one is a graduate of the College of Idaho, the other currently attends the College of Western Idaho. My youngest daughter currently attends Caldwell schools. I've had the privilege of coaching girls fast-pitch softball for many years in our community. As a coach I got to see local students grow as athletes and as people. I'm dedicated to this great community and want to help Caldwell's schools prepare our kids to achieve their goals no matter what they are.
