Blurred Backgrounds in Google Meet

Another recent feature that popped up in your Google Meet functionality is the ability to do blurred backgrounds.  This feature was possible before by using Chrome extensions and add-ons but those often made the program more clunky and glitchy.  In an attempt to be more "Zoom-y", the blurred backgrounds are now a built in part of Meet.  There is a lot of talk at the national level right now about cameras on versus cameras off for students in Google Meets since there is some concern that for privacy reasons. we may not want or need to see into a student's living room or bedroom.  This feature helps protect their privacy AND your privacy!  Check out this slide deck for information on how to turn this feature on and off in your Meets and then try it out this week!
