Dear Staff, Students, Parents, and Community,

It is an honor to join you and be part of Caldwell, a city with many proud traditions of success. There are so many amazing things about this community.

I want to share a bit of my background with you. I have three amazing daughters, two grandchildren, and one on the way. I enjoy hiking, fishing, mountain biking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. I grew up in a small town in Idaho, working in local restaurants at a very young age before moving on to ranch work—laying irrigation pipes, baling hay, and riding horses. I was very active in school, where I participated in three sports and overall had a wonderful experience. I was also fortunate to have incredible teachers and coaches who served as the catalysts for a well-rounded education. These educators, coaches, and mentors ultimately inspired me to pursue a career in education and coaching.

In addition, I bring a diverse working background; I have worked in a mine, a meatpacking plant, construction, and the Forest Service, where I led survey crews, fought wildfires, and supervised prison inmate work details. Professionally, I taught for seven years and coached varsity sports for 12 years. For the past 22 years, I have held various educational leadership positions within the West Ada School District, including directing one of the state's largest CTE programs and leading the largest high school in Idaho. Throughout all of these experiences, my greatest joy has been the students and colleagues I've had the pleasure of working with and learning from. I have truly loved watching where our young people start and seeing how they continue to grow and thrive as adults.

As the superintendent of the Caldwell School District, I am dedicated to ensuring our schools and community continue to thrive and grow. I want every student here to have access to the same high-quality opportunities as any other student in our state. Every decision we make must positively impact our students today, this year, and for years to come. We need programs that launch our high school students into their immediate futures, ensuring they are career-ready and equipped with the confidence and problem-solving skills to pursue their endeavors. To achieve this, we must be forward-thinking about where we want to be five years from now, ten years from now, and beyond. My mission is to provide our community and schools with the tools, programs, and facilities that foster a premier educational institution. Working together as a community, we can accomplish these goals. I am incredibly excited to get to work, offer our students the best, and make a lasting impact.
