SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT
Dr. French recognized the Caldwell High School Robotics Team for winning the 2025 State Championship. They will compete at the Worlds Competition this May in Dallas, Texas. Dr. French also applauded Mr. Brennan Wurtz for winning the 2025 Idaho National History Teacher of the Year. In addition, Jon Hallock received the 2025 Distinguished Service Award from the Idaho Athletic Administrators Association. Senior Nick Mendez was recently awarded the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship. Dr. Melyssa Ferro was recognized as the 2025 IETA Technology Teacher of the Year. The Annual Cradle for the Cure Wrestling Tournament helped raise over $37,000 for the St. Luke's Cancer Institute's Patient Assistance Program.
Caldwell High School Report - Nick Mendez, Student Representative for Caldwell High School, provided Trustees with a virtual update on athletics, activities, and future events.
Canyon Springs High School Report - Canyon Springs High School Student Representative, Maxwell Petersen, provided Trustees with an update on school activities, academics, and recent events.

REGULAR AGENDA
- St. Luke’s MOU - Trustees heard from Paul Webster, Community Schools Coordinator, on the St. Luke's Children's School Mobile Clinic. Dr. Womack, St. Luke's Pediatrician, also provided information on how the mobile clinic has helped families in surrounding school districts. Board Members voted to approve the St. Luke's MOU.
- Wilson Food Pantry Upgrade - Annette Perez, Wilson Community Schools Coordinator, provided Trustees with information on the new food pantry and Wilson Elementary School. Trustees voted to approve the In- Kind Contribution Rendering donation from Albertson for the new Wilson Elementary Food Pantry.
- Tools of the Mind - Dawn Spurlock, Director of Special Education, provided Trustees with information on the Tools of the Mind Early Learning Curriculum. Board Members voted to approve the Tools of the Mind Curriculum.
- CFEO Update - Board Members heard from Josh Engler and Erin Sullivan-Smith about the scholarship competition CFEO is conducting this spring and the grants the Foundation has awarded this year. In addition, CFEO will be holding a scholarship awards banquet on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 7 pm, in the Caldwell High School Auditorium.
- 2026-2027 School Calendar Committee - Melissa Langan, Chief Academic Officer, shared that the 2026-2027 calendar committee is meeting to discuss building the school calendar for that year
- Lawn Service - Board Members voted to accept the lawn service agreements through October.
- Levis and Capital Funds - Dr. French provided Trustees with information on the District's Plant Facility and Supplemental Levy Funds. The current Plant Facility Levy will expire in 2028. The District will use the Supplemental Levy funds for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 school years. The 4 DRAFT District also received the full $20,436,780.22 for the School Modernization Fund (HB 521), which is supposed to be the only distribution for 10 years. The Plant Facilities Committee has identified critical projects that will spend the majority of that allocation.
