REGISTRATION FOR CALDWELL SCHOOL DISTRICT DRIVER'S ED IS CURRENTLY CLOSED
We anticipate being able to take new registrations for Fall 2025.
We will post information on Social Media and on this Website when it is available.
We are currently working through previous registrations.
Caldwell School District Driver Education classes are provided through IDLA. In vehicle driving instruction will be provided after successful completion of the IDLA class with in person instructors. Students must pass the IDLA coursework with 80% grades.
Before registering for any classes, please know attendance is mandatory. Idaho State Law requires 30 hours of class time and a minimum of six hours behind the wheel plus observation time.
Information packets along with payment will be required at the parent meeting. There are no refunds after this Parent/Student meeting. IF a student is using their Advance Opportunities Fast Forward Funds and decides not to take the class, after signing the contract, their account will be charged and the student will receive an "F" for this class on their transcript.
Permits from the DMV are required prior to online registration. We suggest you obtain the permit as soon as possible. Please have the DMV send the permit to Caldwell School District, 1200 Grant St. Caldwell, ID.
The driving permit receipt you receive from the DMV does not allow you to drive with anyone except a certified licensed driver education instructor. After successfully completing the course, the student will be given the certificate/hard card permit. Students will then be allowed to drive with a legal licensed 21 year old or older adult.
Students must be available during the week/weekend to accommodate our class and driver instructors. The first and second missed class/drive fee is $35. After the 2nd missed class/drive, the director will contact a parent/guardian. If you miss more than two classes and/or drives, you will be dropped from the session without a refund.
We only accept Cash or Check payable to Caldwell School District. We do not accept credit/debit cards.
The Caldwell School District does not reimburse from Fast Forward Funds for courses taken at other schools.
