Robotics Competition

November 10th CHS Robotics students competed in a day long tournament in Weiser, Idaho with 30 teams from Idaho, Washington, and Oregon.  One team from CHS, 5689A: Lydia Beardsley, Kelsey Ferro, Jorge Zazueta, and Christopher Lile, finished 7th in the qualification matches, which allowed them to compete in the finals.  They won their first quarter final match, but lost in the semi finals to the team who won the tournament title.  At the awards ceremony 5689A was awarded the Excellence Award by the judges. This award is given to the team the judges determine have the best all-around robot, judges interviews, notebook, and competition.  Our CHS Robotics teams will be competing again soon, their next tournament is Friday, December 8 at Ridgevue High School in Nampa.
