Teacher filing cabinets are full of worksheets and while some worksheets are great, they are often lower level thinking questions and serve as independent work for students.  And let's face it... they are often pretty darn boring!  If we are really wanting to prepare our students to be collaborative and critical thinkers then we are going to have to up our worksheet game and find innovative ways to use digital tools to help our students learn at a deeper level.  Here is a set of digital tricks and tips for turning your worksheets into higher level thinking assignments.  I even included several templates that I designed to get you started on your journey!  Next time you go to upload a worksheet into your Google Classroom, consider using one of these collaborative assignments instead.
