Have you ever wanted or needed to share a Google Drive file with a colleague but didn't want them to type on or edit your original file?  Here is an easy way to edit the URL for your Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, and Jams so that you can force your coworkers and students to open their own copy of your work instead of sharing your original template.  You can use this same URL hack to force Slide decks to open in "present mode" or "view only" mode and you can even use this technique to force open a PDF of your work.
