    CHS student qualifies as National Merit semifinalist

    Avery Hawkins as a National Merit Semifinalist. Students are entered into the National Merit Scholarship Competition based on their PSAT scores in their junior year. Avery is in the top 1% of students in Idaho. She now continues in the competition to advance to National Merit Finalist and the chance to compete for a Scholarship.

    District property tax rate drops

    Chief Financial Officer April Burton reported to the Board that the first time in a decade, the property tax rate for Caldwell schools will drop. The district certified its levy with the county at $3.66 per $1,000 of taxable property value, down from $4.19 -- a 12.6% decrease. About Caldwell School District

The Caldwell School District is the 10th largest school district in Idaho serving about 6,500 students in its two high schools, two middle schools, and seven elementary schools.
CSD schools are the No. 1 choice of families living in Caldwell.
CSD leads in providing quality early education in Idaho partnering with local community groups to provide preschool services to students and full time kindergarten. 
CSD leads in providing access to courses that allow students to earn college credit while in high school. Students also explore high quality career technical education programs including: agriculture, automotive, business & technology, engineering, family consumer science, health occupations, and welding.
Caldwell is home to the College of Idaho and branches of Treasure Valley Community College and College of Western Idaho and CSD enjoys partnerships with these higher education institutions.
