SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT

Dr. French provided Trustees with an update on fall sports and the robotics program. The girls soccer team advanced to the second round of the District Tournament after defeating Skyview High School in overtime. In addition, Nevaeh Jasso set a new Cross Country record with a time of 19:12 beating the time set in 2014 by Tamika Russell of 19:29. 


Caldwell High School has five robotics teams this year. In their most recent competition at Nampa Christian, the robotics team Social Hour won the Judges Award.

Canyon Springs High School - Davina Valdez, Student Representative from Canyon Springs High School, provided Trustees with information about new policies, student leadership, and the attendance campaign happening at CSHS.

  • 2023-2024 Financial Audit - Kurt Folke, from Quest CPA, reviewed the District’s 2023-2024 Financial Audit with Trustees. Board Members voted to accept the 2023-2024 Financial Audit.
  • School Safety - Trustees heard from Dr. French and Eric Phillips, Director of Student Safety and Emergency Operations, about a recent school safety incident that happened last week at Caldwell High School. Mr. Phillips provided Trustees with information about SRO grant funding the District secured from the State Department of Education.
  • Future Agenda Items - Trustees did not discuss future agenda items.
